My therapist often asks, “What is true for you right now?” You will find that my artwork attempts to answer, or at least explore that question in a variety of ways.
I work with paint, charcoal, and collage materials. My work is reflective of my movement between and among many emotional and mental states, moments of reflection and consideration, and my experience of being alive today. My work embraces the spectrum of bittersweetness that comes with life—defeat, triumph, heartache, grief, joy, and love.
