Oh I only recognize two or three of these YouTube channels! Nice to see some others to check out.

I remember seeing that Russel made a video about The Untethered Soul, a book I STILL need to finish but have gotten further in reading than any other tries post-mom. Didn't know he ran with being more intentional!

I too like seeing multiple sides to people's truths so I don't end up too easily stuck in a favorable echo chamber.

The YouTuber I'd recommend is Anthony Padilla and his interviews he does. They're SO good!! I admire Anthony and aspire to be like him. He makes his guests comfortable and trust him and he NEVER takes advantage of that trust. He also never judges when meeting and talking with these people from all walks of life.

I haven't watched them all, but one of my favorites was when he talked to people with Dissociative Identity Disorder: https://youtu.be/ek7JK6pattE

I admire his compassion, tastefully-placed humor, and how he's able to witness people as they are ( including Satanists, kleptomaniacs, throuples, cam girls, otherkins, etc,)

Yes! Anthony Padilla is such a great, sensitive, thoughtful, funny interviewer. I thought his DID interview was wonderful and insightful. I learn so much about the world through his videos. And they're palatable too, being short form, but still plenty informative!

Russell has done great advocacy for truth and freedom these past few years. And I've watched some of his interviews with people from opposite sides. It's good to see people reaching out to each other and discussing serious matters together wholesomely, even when they don't agree with each other.

Oh I'm glad you've watched Anthony before! Yeah I love him!

And that's good to know! I had no clue Russell went that route. His openness you describe reminds me of Africa Brooke. She doesn't have any social media or anything except IG and a podcast, but she's someone who stays open-minded and heavily advocates people being civilized when sharing their point-of-views but first, allowing yourself to hear them.

Oh yes! I adore Africa Brooke. Her words empowered me greatly to re-evaluate my life and myself and my values and how I want to lead my life going forward. And that it's okay to be me and to disagree and have thoughtful discussions. The way she speaks and writes is full of love and empathy and comfort.

I'd say it's magical how she carries herself and shows up for herself and her platform! I couldn't have said it better with how she influenced thought-provoking change in the way I navigate life after taking in her work.

Kidology's vid on tribes was interesting, as an adoptee, I understand the feeling of "tribelessness" though from a very diff perspective than hers. Nice choices, Nadia, I hope you'll point us toward some other new perspectives again. :)
