Thanks for those recommendations! I haven't seen any of them. Will have to check. I watched Severance and Bad Sisters which I liked. I also liked The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey.

What do you think about Severance? That show in particular made me pay attention to Apple TV+ shows.

Hi Obed! Thank you for connecting with me. I love that show. It's actually the first one I saw.

You're welcome Nadia! Happy to connect! Severance S1, for me, like many others, validates the need for great shows that tell stories in ways other mediums just might not. I enjoyed reading this article by the way. Fun fact on how I landed here: I wanted to read something about Apple TV+ shows, so I googled "substack apple tv shows", and I found this article and your substack. Long story short: it was worth it. And I got to memorize that Hemingway line, "To write is just to bleed". Do have a wonderful weekend!

Oh wow, that is wonderful Obed. I appreciate you stumbling upon and sticking around! I was hoping maybe folks would be doing searches like you. Haha! I definitely agree. After watching Severance, then watching some more shows on Apple, I can't go back to wasting my time on the bad ones.

I shall save this post for a future date when we may add Apple to our small list of providers. We watch much less since we moved to Spain, and I don't know why we should necessarily view TV as any different than movies or books, stories are stories are stories, except that maybe it's so easy to zone out rather than remain engaged...

I hope you like it in Spain! Good point. Shows do give more time to build characters, events, and the world, when done right.
