Fantastic work!!! I love this so so much. You really have all of the skills, music and video games!! Be still my heart ❤️ I’m currently writing a short story based on Stray 😻
I've yet to play Stray, but it's on my list. I'm currently too absorbed in the wonders of Tears of the Kingdom to find time for anything other game-based adventures at the moment, but I hope to get to Stray soon.
That is a beautiful tune, BB's Theme - I can see why you were inspired. Your writing always seems so lyrical to me, Nadia, like there is music playing in the background.
Really cool, Nadia. I haven’t played the game yet, but based on all the trailers and other media I’ve seen of it over the years, it seems you nailed the vibe. The cadence of the words, the musicality, is perfect. You really are making me want to play Death Stranding after all.
Thank you so much, Nathan! Woo Hoo. That is great to hear. Too bad I already have it, but I may get the Director's Cut for PS5, just to see what I missed!
Nadia, I have never played any games ( not as an adult for sure ) but whenever I read your posts and comments, I can't help but feel like I am missing out on something really amazing. Any advice on how to start and where to start from...
Also, I used to write on lyrics in the past ( answering your question at the end). Did not keep that blog but I can say that I feel your interest in the lyrical representation...
So good to hear from you, dear Sheetal! That is so cool. Maybe someday you can write something with lyrics being included? That's too bad the blog doesn't exist anymore! Yes, absolutely, GOG has a great roster of wonderful games. I would recommend with platformers and story-driven games that aren't too visually complicated (or have complex game mechanics) first like Planet of Lana, Inside, Limbo, Endling, Stray, Little Nightmares, etc. There are also great Quest games like Grim Fandango, Broken Sword series, Gabriel Knight series, Monkey Island series, Nancy Drew games, etc.
This was very cool! I love how you find inspiration in games. I’ve never been directly inspired by a game, but I’ve often been immensely inspired by video game soundtracks. I feel like the Skyrim soundtrack powered a whole year of my creative life back in the day.
Thank you so much, Taegan! Ah, music can be so inspiring. I'm especially enamored with game soundtracks too. That is so wonderful Skyrim music moved you and let you unleash your creativity!
It's on my "to play" list, I swear! I love the rawness. Fearless Nadia. Excellent, excellent. My game-related writings are all but silly comedic pieces. Maybe one day...
Hah! But t’is far too dangerous... such level of silliness... consider the perils! Far too perilous. Come to think of it there may be one I might be able to salvage.

Stray is so so good!! It’s lots of fun, and you get to be a cat! What more could you want? 😀 How’s Tears of the Kingdom?
It's definitely a big appeal to play as a cat in a strange, futuristic city.
TotK is sublime. I didn't think they could exceed BotW, but they absolutely have.
It’s almost like Blade Runner but you’re a cat! Aww aces, sounds so so good.
That's such a good elevator pitch!
You'll love it, Nathan! Also, I highly recommend Endling. It will make you cry, friends, so hard.
Deckard is a replicat...
Thank you so much. That means a lot! I'm so excited to read your story on Stray. Will you publish it on your Substack?

Aww thank you Troy :).

Thank you so much, Andrei! Glad to hear it. It happens to be free on PC right now with Epic Games! :D
Lovely words, Nadia.
Once again you pique my interest to play.
Of note, Death's Stranding is currently FREE to grab on the Epic Games store, for anyone who sees this and wants a copy on PC: https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/p/death-stranding

This is a world outside my knowledge but I do love all the passion. My sons are big fans of many different games.
That is so cool to know. Thanks for reading, Weston!
Beautiful writing, Nadia!
Thank you so much, Wendy!

I appreciate your kind words, Alexander! I would love to read your game-related pieces. Did you publish any here?
Oh no, far too silly. I have them stored somewhere on a disc in the archives of forever-never-seen-again.
Noooooooo, but you must share!!!
Hah! But t’is far too dangerous... such level of silliness... consider the perils! Far too perilous. Come to think of it there may be one I might be able to salvage.
JUST DO IT! :D
