Indeed. There are actually a handful of scenes in the game that reference Blade Runner directly - the game was clearly a labour of love for the team. Thankyou for reading and commenting. :o)
Thank you for popping by and reading, Nathan! It's a good game, one of the best by Bloober (alongside Medium, my personal favorite). And it only has few scary moments if you're wondering. Haha.
Thankyou, Nathan. Yeah, its not that scary to be honest - its more confronting philosophically I would say. It does make you feel things at certain points, but its focus is on making you empathise with the characters rather than trying to scare you. And a lot of the time, when you come up against something scary in the game, you can do something about it which is good - you actually get to help some of the characters. Its an unusual game in a lot of ways, and well worth a look in my opinion. :o)
That's very good to hear. Thanks! As Nadia notes, I'm a complete wuss when it comes to scary games. Anything first person where I'm immersed into the world ... I just can't cope. Which is weird, because I love horror films. I guess it's the player agency, the sense of control and it all being down to me.
Mmm, interesting. I find it difficult to have that level of immersion in games, but I have to say - if any game provides that kind of depth, parts of this one certainly do. If you do end up playing it, I hope you enjoy it. :o)
Thats cool too though, to be able to do that. I tend to react to things atypically because I have Asperger's, so it can be hard to relate to people's experiences of things sometimes. There are parts of this though that certainly did hook me more than usual. :)
Interesting, one of Rutger Hauer's last projects. "All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain..."❤️
Yes. So heartbreaking. He was so talented.
my favorite scene, I linked it before somewhere on here even :)
I do remember. It was the best scene. It lives on.

Thankyou so much, Nadia - its always an honour to have my writing published by you. I hope all is well. :o)
The honor is all mine, Peter! ❤️
Great write up and thoughts Peter, and thank you Nadia for sharing.
This one slipped past me in 2020, it seems.

I was wondering 😅😉
Haha. I knew you would be. You can handle it. I know it.

Sometimes I wish I could turn off the immersion I feel. I just get sucked in once I'm in control and it's first person. 😅
