I know how deeply you feel everything you write, Nadia, your courage is so inspiring - much love to you 💜💜💜 Sending back all the grace and strength you give to others.
That poem is absolutely beautiful, and brings a refreshing, new take on the whole “ashes-to-ashes”. There’s an instrumental song by one of my favorite violinists, Lindsey Sterling, called The Phoenix-this was playing through my head as I was reading your beautiful words!
During this long, cold winter which extends through all seasons, I took a cold, hard, sober look at my strengths, weaknesses, skills, experience, knowledge, and everything that makes me who I am, and collected it into a small nest to protect me from the brutal bitterness. I am happy to occupy a small space, but also I wonder if I will ever fly again. The idea of rebirth is attractive: a new life, new opportunities, a fresh start.
Beautiful as always - love the poetry. Winter, Christmas in particular, can be a time of yearning for the past and for loved ones who have passed to another place and, if we're alone, we feel their absence more keenly I think. I hope the holiday season is a beautiful one for you and your family, hon - love and light, always. :o) x
You. Are. A. Genius. My God, Nadia... I'm at a loss for words, outside of thank you ♥️

Love this! Is that poem yours as well?
